Born in Hilla, Iraq and completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, left Iraq and moved to Sydney, Australia in 2001.

After seven years of various short courses such as diplomah in Laboratory Tech, in 2008 I moved to Queensland to study. In 2011, I attained a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland.

I successfully gained a position as a Veterinarian in early 2012 and have been working in this field since.

On a voluntary basis, I have been a Justice of The Peace since 2007 serving the Iraqi Islamic community as well as the wider community.

For the past ten years, I have been active in the wider Islamic community including assisting in preparations of functions and commemorative ceremonies such as the weekly program at Husayniyat Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s) and also by liaising between local police and centres to help maintain peace and calmness during such events.

I also attend many meetings and forums with departments such as Department of Home Affairs and Multicultural NSW to bring forth concerns from the Iraqi Islamic Community and to relay messages back.

More recently, I am an establishing member of SANA and will continue to work towards bringing together all Shia Islamic Communities under one umbrella so that we are collectively stronger and more proactive members of the wider Australian community.
