Inter organisational youth award speech competition.

First of its kind in Australia, an inter orgnisational award speech competition was held in October, 2019 in Ahlulbayat Islamic Centre in Auburn, Sydney. Topic was “The sacrifice of Imam Hussain stands unique in the world history” Fourteen young boys and girls from schools and universities belonging to the organisations affiliated with SNNA had participated. All participants were given certificates. Three best speakers were given special awards with emblems of the Shrine of Imam Hussain (e s) on them.

Government sponsored exclusive Shia Roundtable.

First time in the Australian history Shia community was given opportunity for an exclusive Roundtable only through the efforts of SNNA. Representatives of fourteen affiliated organisations had participated along three representatives of the state Government. Substantial workable suggestions were sent to the New South Wales state Government.

Comprehensive Surveillance of the Mosques and Centres.

Consequent upon SNNA’s meetings with the top line of Law Enforcement Authorities, a comprehensive surveillance around the centres and Mosques was organised during Moharram in October, 2019.

State and federal Videoconferencing with SNNA

SNNA was accorded a status enjoyed by all organisations in all spheres of the social life, including its inclusion on the database of state and the federal level. SNNA was invited in such conferences.

Helping the deserving marginalized.

Affiliated members of SNNA have been helping the needy and marginalized people around the world in many humanitarian ways.

Caring the needy Australians during Covid-19

The affiliated organisations of SNNA had been delivering food packets in hundreds during Covid-19 to the needy deserving Australians indiscriminately during Covid-19

Suggested future plans:

  1. International Essay competition among the youth.
  2. Nahjul balagh international competition as done for several years in UK
  3. Creation of a pool of professional teachers like “Factory stories Inc. working in New South Wales to help the School students.
  4. Shia youth conference including Ahlulbayat Associations of Universities.
  5. Interfaith conferences
  6. Professional/ business directory
  7. MOUs with interstate sister organisations leading to mutual affiliation
  8. Nursing homes (Long term objective)
  9. Building a full time school ( Long term objective
  10. Census of Australian Shia community (Long term objective)
