EDUCATION
Sayed Zawar Shah, born in Pakistan, attained M.A and M. Ed degrees from there. In Australia, he earned a Post Graduate diploma from USYD, M.ED from UNSW and M.A in Adult Education from UTS, and Certificates from Bankstown and Padstow TAFEs in Sydney.
EXPERIENCE:
Taught in High Schools for 45 years in Pakistan and Australia. In Sydney University he developed resources to teach languages to adults, and taught the classes. He was the Principal of Alzehra College, Sydney, and has volunteered as a teacher with AMEP (Australian Migrant Education Program) and Blacktown Library.
PAST POSITIONS:
President of NSW Federation of Communities languages. President of Muhammadi Welfare Association Inc for 2 years and secretary for 16 years. Education coordinator of Islamic Council of NSW and Faisal Mosque in Sydney for 8 years. Treasurer of Pakistan Assoc, Inc. and Assistant Secretary of the NSW Ethnic Communities Councils and served as Education Minister’s Advisory Committee member.
PRESENT POSITIONS:
Director of Muslim Care Inc., Executive Director of Humanity Care Vision Inc., Secretary of Rabitah Communities Services, Team member of Alamdar Association of Australia Inc. and Secretary of Shia National Network of Australia Inc.

Regular contributor to Rabitah bilingual magazine, SBS radio, ABC TV and Hyder TV in Canada
AWARDS:
NSW Premier’s award for services to the Islamic community, Alwali award from founder of Imam Hussain Centre, Best Performance Award from Rabitah magazine and the Life Long Service Award from Pakistan Association of Australia Inc.
