As the Secretary of SNNA ( [email protected]) I can assert basing on my observation, personal experience and the provided reliable information that the Azadari
( commemoration) of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad is in full swing as usual in Moharram, the first month of Lunar Calender 1442A.H (2020 AD) undertaken by the Shia Mosques, Centres and at rented places in Sydney.
Some are using technology in toto. Others are doing simultaneous 50 % face to face and 50 % on line.
They are literally upholding the health regulations and the SOPs issued by the authorities. Stringent registration system is in practice one day earlier to keep the allowed number, at the entry the particulars of the attendees are matched with the registration, their temperature is checked and a number of questions asked including the one about any arrival from Victoria, through and through social distancing is strictly enforced.
